Job Overview
We’re looking for a hands‑on Market Café Supervisor to support pre‑launch setup and training, then transition into daily café operations after opening. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on the floor, leading teams, and helping build operations from the ground up.
This is an immediate hire. The position will start part‑time during pre‑launch (training, setup, and onboarding staff), with the opportunity to transition to full‑time as we approach the go‑live date, subject to opening timelines and any delays.
This role reports to the Café Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pre‑launch preparation, setup, and employee training
- Lead day‑to‑day café operations after opening
- Train, coach, and support café staff
- Provide strong customer service and handle guest concerns
- Maintain food quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards
- Coordinate with the kitchen on menu items and availability
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock levels
- Schedule staff and delegate daily tasks
- Monitor sales, labor, and basic P&L performance
- Step in to support operations as needed
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma required; hospitality or business degree preferred
- 2–3 years of lead or supervisory experience
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Positive attitude and ability to lead by example
- Flexible availability (mornings, weekends, holidays)
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
