Café Barista

$17/hour + tips | Merrick Blvd, Queens, NY
FT posiiton 30-40 hours per week

NU3S is launching in July 2026, and we’re hiring friendly, service-driven Café Baristas to help bring our Market Café to life.

This is a hands-on food & beverage role. You will play a key role in preparing beverages and food, supporting daily operations, and delivering a warm, consistent guest experience.

From your first greeting to the final order, you’ll help create a welcoming, high-quality neighborhood café environment.

What You’ll Do

• Greet guests with a friendly, professional, and positive attitude
• Prepare espresso drinks, teas, shakes, and café food items with consistency
• Maintain strong product knowledge to answer questions and make recommendations
• Accurately operate the POS system and handle transactions
• Support opening and closing procedures using company checklists
• Keep workspace clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards
• Restock products, maintain displays, and monitor inventory levels
• Communicate inventory or operational needs with supervisors
• Work collaboratively and support team members across café operations
• Stay calm, focused, and efficient in a fast-paced environment
• Cross-train in other café and market roles as needed
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and service standards
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment at all times
• Stay up to date on food & beverage trends and service best practices
• Perform other duties as needed to support daily operations

What We’re Looking For

• 1 year of café, food service, or customer-facing experience preferred
• Knowledge of beverage preparation and food safety standards
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
• Flexible availability (early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays)
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
• High level of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail
